He along with Ranjeet Deshmukh co-founded the 'Akshara Foundation of Arts & Learning' which works towards providing education to under privileged children. He was a member of the Steel Consumers Council Govt of India Ministry of Steel. He has also been nominated as a member Telephone Advisory Committees of Ministry of Communications and Information Technology Government of India Department of Telecommunications in October 2015.
