Guillermo "Willy" Semler Aguirre es un actor y director de teatro chileno. Es conocido por haber interpretado a Esperanza en la popular obra de teatro La negra Ester. En cine, ha tenido papeles en películas como Johnny cien pesos y El desquite, mientras que en televisión ha estado en teleseries como Mi nombre es Lara y Fuera de control. Trabajó como locutor en Radio La Clave en el programa "Enradiados" (2016-2017).

Time featured him among its Global 100 young leaders profile series published in 1994 while the World Economic Forum also nominated him. The Wall Street Journal America Economia, The Wall Street Journal's Latin American magazine, named him Latin American businessman of the year in 1990 and he was named Brazilian businessman of the year in 1990 and 1992. Virando a Própria Mesa, his first book, became the best selling non-fiction book in the history of Brazil. Dean Semler, A.C.S., A.S.C., is an Australian cinematographer and film director. Over his career, he has worked as a cinematographer, camera operator, director, second unit director, and assistant director. He is a three-time recipient of the AACTA Award for Best Cinematography and an Academy Award winner. He is a member of both the Australian Cinematographers Society (ACS) and the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC). In 2002 he was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM).

Johann Salomo Semler was a German church historian, biblical commentator, and critic of ecclesiastical documents and of the history of dogmas. He is sometimes known as "the father of German rationalism".
