Also he played for Russia national under-21 football team and Olympic national team, but they didn't qualify to the football tournament of Beijing Olympic games. He is 188 cm and 82 kg. He has been called up for the Russia national football team in 2007 and then again in 2009, but did not play in any games for the squad.

Jean-Jacques Savin was a French adventurer. He also worked as a paratrooper, a private pilot, and as a curator of a state park in the Central African Republic. In 2018–2019, he crossed the Atlantic Ocean by floating alone in a barrel-shaped capsule for over four months. He disappeared during an attempt to row alone across the Atlantic in January 2022.
