Robert Lee Pitman is an American attorney and jurist who serves as a United States District Judge of the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas and former United States Attorney for the Western District of Texas. He was previously a United States Magistrate Judge of the same court.

Timothy Henry Hoʻolulu Pitman was an American Union Army soldier of Native Hawaiian descent. Considered one of the "Hawaiʻi Sons of the Civil War", he was among a group of more than one hundred documented Native Hawaiian and Hawaii-born combatants who fought in the American Civil War while the Kingdom of Hawaiʻi was still an independent nation.

Isaac Pitman, nombrado caballero en 1894, es el inventor del sistema de taquigrafía quizás más usado, conocido como taquigrafía Pitman. Este sistema fue propuesto por él en 1837.
