He has done his PhD in Botany from the University of North Bengal. He was nominated as the Chief of West Bengal BJP on 20 September 2021. He was appointed as President of Bharatiya Janata Party, West Bengal on 20 September 2021, replacing Dilip Ghosh.

Suresh Chandra Majumdar is an Indian politician. He was a Member of Parliament, representing West Bengal in the Rajya Sabha the upper house of India's Parliament as a member of the Indian National Congress.
