Iuliu Maniu
Iuliu Maniu fue un político rumano que desarrolló su carrera en su Austria-Hungría natal y más tarde en Rumanía. Dirigente del Partido Nacional Rumano de Transilvania antes y después de la Primera Guerra Mundial, y cofundador junto con Ion Mihalache del Partido Nacional Campesino, ocupó el cargo de primer ministro de Rumanía en tres ocasiones entre 1928 y 1933.
Iuliu Ilyés
Iuliu Ilyés is a Romanian engineer and politician of Hungarian ethnicity. A member of the Democratic Union of Hungarians in Romania (UDMR), he was the mayor of Satu Mare for two terms, from 2004 until 2012. Between 1996 and 2004 he was the deputy mayor of the city. He is married to Ildikó and has two children.
Iuliu Hossu
Iuliu Hossu was a Romanian Greek-Catholic prelate who served as the Bishop of Cluj-Gherla. Pope Paul VI elevated Hossu to the rank of cardinal in pectore, that is, secretly, in 1969 but did not publish his appointment until after Hossu's death. The Communist authorities arrested Bishop Hossu on 28 October 1948. From 1950 to 1955 he was detained as political prisoner at the Sighet prison. He spent the rest of his life under house arrest and died in 1970.
