Ibrahim Ferrer Planas, conocido como Ibrahim Ferrer, fue un cantante de son cubano, de voz pura y suave. Vivió en el casco viejo de La Habana. Era un hombre tímido y sencillo, imbuido en una intensa fe. Alcanzó fama mundial en 1998, con el éxito del proyecto musical Buena Vista Social Club, donde grabó doce de los catorce temas del disco y tuvo el placer de colaborar con muchos de los intérpretes que siempre admiró, como Omara Portuondo, Rubén González, Compay Segundo, Eliades Ochoa, Barbarito Torres y Manuel «Guajiro» Mirabal. Este disco obtuvo un Grammy, y un año más tarde grabó su primer álbum en solitario, Buena Vista Social Club Presents Ibrahim Ferrer. Ibrahim ibn Malik al-Ashtar
Ibrāhīm ibn Mālik al-Ashtar ibn al-Ḥārith al-Nakhaʿī was an Arab commander who fought in the service of Caliph Ali and later served the pro-Alid leader al-Mukhtar al-Thaqafi. He led al-Mukhtar's forces to a decisive victory at the Battle of Khazir (686) against the Umayyads under Ubayd Allah ibn Ziyad, who was personally slain by Ibn al-Ashtar. He later killed the Zubayrids after they killed al-Mukhtar in 687.

Ibrahim Coulibaly
Ibrahim Coulibaly was a military and rebel leader in Côte d'Ivoire. A Staff Sergeant in the Armed Forces of Côte d'Ivoire, Coulibaly had served since at least the early 1990s. As Côte d'Ivoire slid into communal conflict, Coulibaly joined the 1999 coup led by Robert Guéï. A second coup, following 2000 elections that made Laurent Gbagbo President, saw Coulibaly in a leadership position, after which he came into conflict with fellow military leader Guillaume Soro. During the ensuing eight years of division in the country, Coulibaly came into conflict with both sides, eventually returning to lead an Abidjan-based militia supportive of Alassane Ouattara. Following the end of fighting, Coulibaly was killed in Abidjan by Ouattara's forces during an attempt to disarm his group. Known popularly as "IB", he was 47 years old at the time of his death.
