Hajime Hirota
Hajime Hirota is a Japanese politician of the Democratic Party and a former member of the House of Councillors in the National Diet, having served two terms from 2004 until 2016. He previously served two terms in the Kōchi Prefectural Assembly from 1995 until 2001.
Hajime Furuta
Hajime Furuta is the governor of Gifu Prefecture in Japan, first elected in 2005 and reelected in 2009. A native of Gifu, Gifu, he was chosen as the final torchbearer for the National Sports Festival when it was held in Gifu while he was a senior at Gifu Prefectural Senior High School. He entered the Faculty of Law at the University of Tokyo and joined the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) in 1971.
