Fu Yu is a Chinese-born Portuguese table tennis player. She competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in the women's singles event, in which she was eliminated in the second round by Nanthana Komwong.

Fu Mingtian is a China born Singaporean badminton player. Fu came to Singapore in 2003 and became a Singapore citizen in 2007 under the Foreign Sports Talent Scheme. Fu became the first female Singaporean player to win the Southeast Asian Games women's singles badminton Gold medal in 2011 at the 26th SEA Games in Indonesia. She beat second-seed Ratchanok Intanon of Thailand 21–12, 21–18 en route to the Final match. In the Finals, she beat home favourite Adriyanti Firdasari of Indonesia 14–21, 21–12, 22–20. Despite Fu's achievements, she was not selected for the 2012 Summer Olympics and Gu Juan was selected.

The month of August 2019 in the 2019–2020 Hong Kong protests saw a continuation of protests throughout the city. Several of the peaceful daytime protests were held by social groups such as families, the elderly, and various professions. In many instances, peaceful protests occurs during the day, turning increasingly violent at night. In North Point and Tsuen Wan, white- or blue-shirted armed groups were attacking protesters, but unlike in the Yuen Long violence of 21 July they were beaten back in North Point. Protesters aimed at drawing international attention through methods such as extended sit-ins at the airport. In many occasions, an eye injury of a female protester who had served as frontline medical staff became a symbol of the protests. At the airport protests, a mainland journalist was violently tackled by protesters who did not reveal his identity to the protesters. Protesters later apologised for this incident, reducing tensions and satisfying some pro-establishment lawmakers. The Prince Edward station attack on 31 August proved to be a further landmark event in the protests.

Fu Xiaotian is the presenter and producer of Talk with World Leaders. She is a recipient of the Order of the Star of Italy. Xiaotian worked in London when she first joined Phoenix TV, taking on the roles of Chief Correspondent and Bureau Chief. In 2011, she journeyed twice to Libya as a wartime reporter. The following year, she transferred to Phoenix TV’s Hong Kong headquarters, where she worked as a Senior Reporter, covering major political events internationally.
