Ardacher o Ardashir I, fue el fundador del Imperio sasánida, y rey de Persia desde 226 hasta su muerte.

Ardacher II, Ardashir II o Artajerjes II en las fuentes clásicas, era medio hermano por parte de madre de Sapor II ,. durante el reinado del cual sirvió como shah (gobernador-rey) en Adiabene, región en el centro de la antigua Asiria, donde se dedicó a la persecución de los cristianos. Reinó entre los años 379 y 383.

Ardacher III fue el vigésimo cuarto rey sasánida de Persia. Hijo de Kavad II y de Anzoy, una princesa bizantina. Ascendió al trono cuando estaba a punto de cumplir siete años. Su reinado fue interrumpido por Peroz II, quien gobernó Persia durante un tiempo en el 629. Pasados dieciocho meses tras su primer ascenso al trono, Ardacher III fue asesinado por su general Sharbaraz, que se convirtió en el nuevo rey.

Artasyrus was recorded as being the Satrap of Armenia during the reign of king Artaxerxes II. Referred to as the "King's Eye", Artasyrus was of Bactrian origin. His more "well known" son, Orontes, who was therefore sometimes referred to as "Orontes the Bactrian", served as the Satrap of Sophene and Matiene (Mitanni) during the reign of Artaxerxes II. There appears to be confusion in the historical records as to whether Artasyrus and Artaxerxes II were the same person. The daughter of Artaxerxes II, Rhodogune, was the wife of the satrap Orontes I. There are few English language sources to fully explain who he was, when he was born or died.
