Adolf Lieben was an Austrian Jewish chemist. He was born in Vienna the son of Ignatz Lieben. He studied at the University of Vienna, University of Heidelberg, and Paris, and subsequently held the positions of privat-docent at the University of Vienna (1861), and professor in the universities of Palermo (1863), Turin (1867), and Prague (1871). From 1875 until his death he held the chair of general and pharmacological chemistry at the University of Vienna, and is a member of the Vienna Academy of Sciences.

Count Adolf III of Nassau-Wiesbaden-Idstein was a son of Count John II of Nassau-Wiesbaden-Idstein and his wife Maria of Nassau-Dillenburg (1463–1504). After his father's death in 1480, he ruled Nassau-Wiesbaden and his brother Philip ruled Nassau-Idstein. After Philip's childless death in 1509, Adolf III ruled also ruled Nassau-Idstein.

Adolf Zutter was a German SS-Hauptsturmführer at Mauthausen Concentration Camp, who was tried and executed for war crimes. Zutter, a member of the NSDAP and the SS, was from 27 September 1939 to the beginning of May 1945 a member of the camp staff of KZ Mauthausen. From 27 September 1939 to the spring of 1942 he worked as Kommandoführer in Wien Graben and then as commander of the guards until June 1942. From June 1942 to early May 1945, he was adjutant under the Nazi concentration camp commandant Franz Ziereis in Mauthausen concentration camp.

Adolf I, Count de la Mark, until 1226 also known as Adolf I, Count of Altena-Mark. He was son of Frederick I, Count of Berg-Altena and Alveradis of Krickenbeck, daughter of Reiner of Krieckenbeck-Millendonk.
