Abdurrahman Wahid, conocido como Gus Dur fue un político indonesio y Presidente de Indonesia.

AR Baswedan is the popular name of Abdurrahman Baswedan, a nationalist, journalist, Indonesian freedom fighter, diplomat, and writer. During his political life, AR Baswedan was involved in the Investigating Committee for Preparatory Work for Independence (BPUPK), served as Deputy Minister of Information of the Third Sjahrir Cabinet, was a member of the Central Indonesian National Committee Working Group, a member of Parliament, and also a member of the Indonesian Constitutional Assembly. AR Baswedan was one of Indonesia's first diplomats who successfully gained de jure and de facto international recognition for the Republic of Indonesia. He is awarded as a National Hero of Indonesia in 2018.

Abdurrahman Yalçınkaya is a high-ranked Turkish judge and the former Chief Public Prosecutor of the Supreme Court of Appeals of Turkey. Since the end of his term on 2011, he has been a member of the Supreme Court of Appeals' Eight Civil Department.

Anregurutta Professor Habib Abdurrahman Shihab was an Indonesian academican, politician, and Qur'anic interpretation expert (mufassir) from Makassar, South Sulawesi. As a politician, Abdurrahman was a member of the Constitutional Assembly of Indonesia from the Masyumi Party fraction. Meanwhile, as an academican, he served as 2nd rector of the Indonesian Muslim University of Makassar in the period 1959–1965 and the 3rd rector of the Alauddin Islamic State University from 1973–1979.
