ʿAbd al-ʿAẓim Anīs
'Abd al-'Azim 'Anis (1923–2009) was a leading Egyptian cultural critic and Marxist involved with the Communist Party of Egypt. He was detained in Egyptian prisons from the early 1960s due to his political activities. 'Anis called for "unity of all the nationalist and progressive forces including, naturally, the Arab communists."
Abd al-Malik I
Abd al-Malik I was amir of the Samanid Empire from 954 to 961. He was the son and successor of Nuh I. His reign was marked by internal strife, with the Turkic slave-soldiers increasing in power. He died after falling from his horse during a game of polo at Bukhara; he was succeeded by his brother Mansur I, who was put on the throne by a faction of ghulams led by the Turkic slave-commander Fa'iq Khassa.

Abd al-Majid al-Rafei
Abd al-Majid al-Rafei, born in Tripoli, Lebanon, was a Lebanese politician and member of the Lebanese Parliament. He was at one time the head of the Iraqi faction of the historical Ba'ath Arab Socialist Party and its Iraqi wing. Later, until his death in July 2017, he was the head of the Socialist Arab Lebanon Vanguard Party.
Abd al-Qahir al-Jurjani
Abū Bakr, ‘Abd al-Qāhir ibn ‘Abd ar-Raḥmān ibn Muḥammad al-Jurjānī ; surnamed "Al-Nuhwī", he was a renowned Persian grammarian of the Arabic language, literary theorist of the Muslim Shafi'i, and a follower of al-Ash'ari. He wrote several celebrated works on grammar and rhetoric, among these are Mi,ut Ạmil and Al-Jumal - introductions to Arabic syntax - and a commentary titled Al-Mughnī in three volumes.

Abd al-Rahman al-Jabarti (1753-1825), nombre completo: Abd al-Rahman bin Hasan bin Burhan al-Din al-Jabarti, conocido a menudo simplemente como Al-Jabarti, fue un erudito y cronista musulmán egipcio de origen Arabian que vivió la mayor parte de su vida en El Cairo. Cronista de la invasión de Napoleón de Egipto, fue uno de los primeros intelectuales de Oriente que, aun sin abandonar cierta actitud condescendiente, valoró los avances de Occidente.
