Hind bint ‘Utbah fue una mujer árabe que vivió a finales del siglo VI y principios del VII; era la esposa de Abu Sufyan ibn Harb, un jeque destacado de La Meca, en Arabia occidental. Era la madre de Muawiyah I, el fundador de la dinastía omeya, y de Hanzala, Juwayriya y Umm Hakam. Ramla bint Abi Sufyan, una de las esposas de Mahoma, era su hijastra.

Hashim ibn Utba ibn Abi Waqqas was a Muslim army commander. He was Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas nephew through his father, and was a Companions of the Prophet Muhammad. Hāshim participated in the Ridda wars against the rebellious Arabic tribes following the death of Mohammad in order to return them to Islam. He fought the Byzantines in Battle of Yarmouk under the command of Khalid ibn al-Walid. He played a vital role in the Battle of al-Qādisiyyah that led to the conquest of Al-Mada'in by Muslims. He died in Battle of Siffin fighting on the side of Ali.

Abu Hudhayfa ibn Utbah, full name Abu Hudhayfa ibn Utbah ibn Rabi'ah was an early companion of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. He was the son of Utbah ibn Rabi'ah, one of the Leaders of Banu Abd Shams. He was the brother of Walid ibn Utbah and Hind bint Utbah, the wife of Abu Sufyan.
