Kumi Nakada is a former professional volleyball player and coach of Hisamitsu Springs. Unusually for a Japanese athlete, Nakada was remembered by opponents and teammates alike for her volatile temper, fiery competitiveness, and outspoken manner both on and off the court. After brief stints as a fashion model and motivational speaker, Nakada currently provides color commentary and makes guest appearances in a wide range of sports and variety media in Japan. Hiroshi Nakada is the former mayor of Yokohama, Kanagawa in Japan. A graduate of Aoyama Gakuin University, he served at the Matsushita Institute of Government and Management before working in the House of Councillors in the Diet.

Ayu Nakada is a Japanese football player. She currently plays as a midfielder for Japanese L. League club INAC Kobe Leonessa. She played for Japan at the 2010 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup and the 2012 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup, winning silver at the former and bronze at the latter.
