William Ho Ka Kui
William Ho Ka-kui was a Hong Kong Chinese actor in the 1970s. He was born in Kowloon City, Hong Kong. Ho acted as a warden named Sugiyama in the movie, Riki-Oh: The Story of Ricky, which starred Louis Fan as Riki Oh Saiga. Ho acted in 139 movies from 1976 to 2015. On January 27, 2015, he died in the Hong Kong Health Center of organ failure.
Yang Kui
Yang Kui was a prominent writer in Japanese Taiwan. Raised in Japanese-language schools, he went to the Japanese mainland, where he experienced both persecution and acceptance, especially by Japanese communists. Under these influences he became a proletarian novelist. After World War II, he was imprisoned by the Kuomintang government from 1949 to 1961. After being released from prison, he had to learn the Chinese language from his granddaughter Yang Tsui, as Japanese had been the common language of Taiwan until the time of his imprisonment.
