Rena Hasegawa is a Japanese voice actress and a former singer. Hasegawa started her career as a member of the idol girl group NGT48 in 2015, debuting as a regular member of the group's Team NⅢ. In 2018, she was transferred to Team G, which later merged with Team NⅢ to become a unified first generation in 2019. On May 18, 2019, she left the group to pursue voice acting.

Gaku Hasegawa is a member of the House of Councillors of Japan from Hokkaido. He belongs to the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP). In 1990 he enrolled at Hokkaido University and majored in Business Administration. While attending university, he, with five other friends, brought the Soran Festival to Hokkaido, which is now run by the Yasakoi Soran Festival Foundation. The Soran Festival incorporates the traditional Sōran Bushi song and dance. In 1998 he was elected Director of the Yasakoi Soran Foundation. He has received the Japan Event New Theme Prize, the Suntory Area Culture Prize, and the Japanese Lifestyle and Culture Prize, for his founding of the Yasakoi Soran Bushi Festival that has come to represent the city of Sapporo. In 2008 he ran against Takahiro Yokomichi of the Democratic Party of Japan for representative of the first district of Hokkaido. He came in second place with a total of 124,343 votes.. He was elected to the House of Councillors in July 2010.

Makoto Hasegawa is a Japanese basketball coach and a former player. Hasegawa was the head coach of Akita Northern Happinets. He is the first Japanese player ever to play in the American Basketball Association. Because of his trademark bushy goatee, his nickname is "hige" in Akita. He played for Kosei Club and Akita Northern Bisons as an amateur in his home prefecture. Currently he serves as an unaffiliated director of the Akita Happinets and the Japan national 3x3 team coach.

He is known for his work in the derivation of the Hasegawa–Mima equation, which describes fundamental plasma turbulence and the consequent generation of zonal flow that controls plasma diffusion. Hasegawa also made the discovery of optical solitons in glass fibers, a concept that is essential for high speed optical communications.
