Mahmud Darwish
Mahmud Darwish, en árabe محمود درويش, en ocasiones transcrito en español como Mahmud Darwix y en otros idiomas como Mahmoud Darwish o Mahmoud Darwich, fue considerado el poeta nacional palestino y uno de los más célebres literatos árabes contemporáneos, nacido cerca de Acre el 13 de marzo de 1941 y fallecido en Houston el 9 de agosto de 2008.
Sayed Darwich
Sayed Darwich,. También llamado Sayed Darwish, fue un cantante y compositor, autor del Himno Nacional de Egipto, Bilady, Bilady, Bilady cuya letra fue adaptada de un famoso discurso de Mustafa Kamil, además compuso una de las canciones árabes más conocidas mundialmente, Salma Ya Salama, popularizada en 1977 por la cantante Dalida, que hizo grabaciones en árabe y en francés. Murió súbitamente a la edad de 31 años en coincidencia con el regreso del líder Egipcio Saad Zaghloul que se encontraba exiliado. En su recepción la gente entonaba la canción de Sayed Darwich Bilady, Bilady, Bilady, que, años más tarde, se convertiría en el Himno Nacional de Egipto.

Ahmed Mahmoud Darwish is an Egyptian politician. He served as the first Chairman of the General Authority of Suez canal Economic Zone from 2015 to 2017. He previously served as Minister of State for Administration Development in the Nazif Cabinet between 2004 and 2011.

Kamal Darwish, the former president of Zamalek SC, took office for the club in the period from 1996 to 2001, and was re-elected for a second term from 2001 to 2005, one of the symbols of Zamalek handball team, where he led the club to win the championships in the seventies and early eighties in what is known as Golden generation, he served as President of the Egyptian federation of boxing, also served as Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education previously, also candidate for Egyptian Football Association for president in 2009 but lost in favor of Samir Zaher, he also took over the presidency of Zamalek in October 2013 after being assigned by Taher Abouzeid the former Minister of Sports.

Youssef Darwish
Youssef Darwish was an Egyptian labour lawyer, communist and activist. During his years of political activism, he was frequently accused of communist subversion and imprisoned, spending around 10 years of his life in jail. Of Jewish background, he converted to Islam in 1947. He was one of the few from the Karaite Jewish community to remain in Egypt after the establishment of Israel in 1948.
