Jade Y. Chen
Jade Y. Chen is a novelist, journalist, theatre director and playwright from Taiwan. She is best known for her book, China, which won the Taiwan Golden Text Award (金典獎) for best novel and the Hong Kong Baptist University’s Dream of the Red Chamber Award Jury Prize. Her 2004 bestselling novel Mazu's Bodyguards was adapted into a musical, presented at the National Theater in Taipei in December 2009. In Taiwan Today, it was described as a "bold attempt to explore Taiwan’s complex ethnic, cultural and political history".

Gang Chen
Gang Chen is a Chinese-born American mechanical engineer and nanotechnologist. At MIT, he is the Carl Richard Soderberg Professor of Power Engineering and he was head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering from July 23, 2013 to June 30, 2018. He directed the Solid-State Solar-Thermal Energy Conversion Center, an Energy Frontier Research Center formerly funded by the US Department of Energy. Chen is a member of the US National Academy of Engineering. In January 2021, Chen was charged by the United States Department of Justice with failing to disclose alleged connections to several educational programs in China in filing a United States Department of Energy grant application, as well as omissions in his Internal Revenue Service tax filings.

Liu Chong (Prince Min de Chen)
Liu Chong was the sixth and last Prince of Chen (陳王) of the Eastern Han dynasty. He was unique in the imperial household in that he maintained his own territory during the last years of the Han dynasty while the rest of the Han princes and marquises played no role. He was assassinated by the imperial pretender Yuan Shu in 197 and became posthumously known as Prince Min of Chen (陳愍王).
Liu Chen
Liu Chen, the Prince of Beidi (北地王), was the fifth son of Liu Shan, the second ruler of the state of Shu Han during the Three Kingdoms period of China. Liu Chen opposed the plans of Qiao Zhou to surrender to the opposing force under general Deng Ai from the rival state of Cao Wei. Liu Chen attempted to convince his father to fight for the honour of Shu, so Liu Bei could look upon him as a redeemed ruler of Shu. However, Liu Shan threw Liu Chen out of the court for this. He then went to Liu Bei's ancestral temple and killed his wife and children before committing suicide.
