John Bowes-Lyon
John Herbert "Jock" Bowes-Lyon was the second son of the 14th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne and the Countess of Strathmore and Kinghorne, and the brother of Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon. He was an uncle to Queen Elizabeth II, although he died when she was a small child.

Sir David Bowes-Lyon KCVO was the sixth son and last child of Claude Bowes-Lyon, 14th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne, and Cecilia Nina Cavendish-Bentinck, as well as their tenth and youngest child. His elder sister Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon married Prince Albert, Duke of York the second son of King George V, in 1923 and became Queen Consort of the United Kingdom after the abdication of her husband's elder brother Edward VIII on 11 December 1936.

Captain Fergus Bowes-Lyon was a British soldier and older brother of Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, Queen consort of the United Kingdom from 1936 until 1952, and generally known in Britain as the Queen Mother. Bowes-Lyon was killed during World War I. He was a maternal uncle of the current queen, Elizabeth II.

Ernestine Hester Maude Bowes-Lyon, Baroness de Longueuil was born at Glamis Castle in Scotland, one of five children; her father Ernest Bowes-Lyon died ten days after her birth, two days after Christmas, in a riding accident. He was a diplomat serving as a Consul in Belgrade. Her mother was a Drummond, of the family of Drummonds Bank.
