William Bligh
El vicealmirante William Bligh FRS RN fue un oficial de la Marina Real Británica y administrador colonial. Durante su mando del HMS Bounty, en 1789, ocurrió un famoso motín y Bligh y sus hombres leales debieron realizar un extraordinario viaje a Timor, después de ser dejados a la deriva en un bote por los amotinados. Quince años después del motín del Bounty, fue nombrado gobernador de Nueva Gales del Sur en Australia, con órdenes de limpiar el corrupto comercio de ron del Cuerpo de Nueva Gales del Sur, dando como resultado la llamada rebelión del ron.

Algernon Bligh
Algernon Stuart Bligh played first-class cricket for Somerset from 1922 to 1926, appearing in 12 games in 1925. He was born in Marylebone, London and died at Minehead, Somerset. He was descended from the Earls of Darnley and was a cousin of Ivo Bligh, the England cricket captain who retrieved The Ashes from Australia in 1882-83. In one source, his second forename is written as "Stewart".

Reverend Henry Bligh was an English clergyman and cricketer. He played eight first-class cricket matches between 1853 and 1860, five for Kent County Cricket Club, two for the Gentlemen of Kent and one for Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC).
