Martin Bashir
Martin Henry Bashir is a British journalist and news anchor. He came to prominence on British television with his BBC interview with Diana, Princess of Wales, and then his fly-on-the-wall documentary with pop singer Michael Jackson on ITV. On 4 December 2013, Bashir resigned from his position at MSNBC after he made comments described as "ill-judged" about the former Governor of Alaska and Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

He was awarded the Ekushey Padak, Bangladesh's second highest civilian honor, in 1980, and the Swadhinata Padak, or Independence Day Award, Bangladesh's highest state award, in 2019.

Palwasha Bashir is a badminton player, born in Karachi, Pakistan. Bashir was crowned as the National Champion in 2009, winning the women's singles and doubles titles. Palwasha has been representing Pakistan for several years in different International competitions. Initially rising as a star on a national level by winning back-to-back national titles. She won the bronze medal at the 2010 South Asian Games held in Dhaka. This achievement led her to a greater fame and acknowledgement in Pakistan. Bashir has represented her country at the 2014 Asian Games, 2014 and 2018 Commonwealth Games. She has been coached by Raziuddin Ahmad. Palwasha wins the title of National Champion Doubles Ladies 2021 against Mahoor Shahzad and Ghazala Siddique in the final.
