Harriet Arbuthnot fue una diarista inglesa de principios del siglo XIX, observadora social y anfitriona política del Partido Tory. Durante la década de 1820 fue la «amiga más cercana» del héroe de la Batalla de Waterloo y primer ministro británico, Arthur Wellesley, 1.er duque de Wellington. Mantuvo correspondencia y relación con el duque por largo tiempo, todo lo cual registró en sus diarios, que por lo tanto son citados extensamente en muchas de las biografías del Duque de Wellington.

William Reierson Arbuthnot was a British businessman and legislator. He served as a member of the Madras Legislative Council from 1861 to 1864 and 1866 to 1870. He worked with Arbuthnot & Co and was Chairman of the Bank of Madras and the Chamber of Commerce of Madras and Director of Commercial Union Insurance Co and of the Midland Bank Ltd.

John Alves Arbuthnot (1802–1875) was a British banker, co-founder of Arbuthnot Latham, a private bank.

James Norwich Arbuthnot, Baron Arbuthnot of Edrom,, is a British Conservative Party politician. He was Member of Parliament (MP) for Wanstead and Woodford from 1987 to 1997, and then MP for North East Hampshire from 1997 to 2015.
