Kazuaki Okazaki was a Japanese convicted multiple murderer and former member of the doomsday cult Aum Shinrikyo who co-perpetrated the Sakamoto family murder and another murder in 1989. Immediately after the Sakamoto murders, he abandoned the cult and turned himself to the police after the Tokyo subway sarin attack in 1995. He was tried and was sentenced to death for those crimes, for which he pleaded clemency. The petition was repeatedly dismissed by the courts and he was executed by hanging in July 2018.

El 10 de diciembre de 1983 entregó el mando al presidente constitucional Raúl Ricardo Alfonsín, ganador de las elecciones democráticas realizadas un mes y 10 días antes. Bignone estuvo a cargo de la transición hacia la democracia tras la derrota argentina en la guerra de las Malvinas. Fue el último dictador de la historia de la Argentina, y al momento de su muerte era el único expresidente no constitucional de su país con vida.
