Giulio Carlo Argan
Giulio Carlo Argan, historiador y crítico de arte italiano, fue uno de los mayores eruditos y pensadores del siglo XX. Inspector de los museos del Estado y profesor de historia del arte en las universidades de Palermo y de Roma, de cuya ciudad fue alcalde (1976-1979), su actividad en la promoción y difusión del arte contemporáneo durante la posguerra fue muy intensa.
Henry Stommel
Henry "Hank" Melson Stommel was a major contributor to the field of physical oceanography. Beginning in the 1940s, he advanced theories about global ocean circulation patterns and the behavior of the Gulf Stream that form the basis of physical oceanography today. Widely recognized as one of the most influential and productive oceanographers of his time, Stommel was both a groundbreaking theoretician and an astute, seagoing observer.

Philip Ives Dunne was a Hollywood screenwriter, film director and producer, who worked prolifically from 1932 until 1965. He spent the majority of his career at 20th Century Fox crafting well regarded romantic and historical dramas, usually adapted from another medium. Dunne was a leading Screen Writers Guild organizer and was politically active during the "Hollywood Blacklist" episode of the 1940s–1950s. He is best known for the films How Green Was My Valley (1941), The Ghost and Mrs. Muir (1947), The Robe (1953) and The Agony and the Ecstasy (1965).
