Away from the university she wrote novels concerned with the North American Indians which became classics of East German children's literature.

Yelena Aleksandrovna Kuzmina was a Soviet actress. She appeared in 20 films between 1929 and 1978. She was the recipient of three Stalin Prizes and was named a People's Artist of Russia in 1950. Kuzmina's spouses included filmmakers Boris Barnet and Mikhail Romm. Her memoirs were published in 1989.

He made outstanding contributions to various areas of mathematics, including differential equations, topology, mathematical logic and the foundations of mathematics.
