Nikolái Yákovlevich Marr, fue un historiador, arqueólogo, y políglota ruso, que se ganó una sólida reputación como prolífico académico y erudito sobre el Cáucaso, antes de exponer su controvertida teoría monogenética del lenguaje, conocida como teoría jafética, y las tesis relacionadas sobre lingüística especulativa. Es frecuente ver escrito su nombre en algunas traducciones como Nicholas Marr.

Alfred Schirokauer was a German novelist and screenwriter. He also directed three films during the silent era. Many films were based on his novels including several adaptations of Lucrezia Borgia. After the rise of the Nazi Party to power in 1933 the Jewish Schirokauer emigrated to Amsterdam and then to Austria where he died the following year.
