Bakhtiyar Vahabzadeh was an Azerbaijani poet, dramatist, lyricist and translator as well as a college professor and politician. He is often regarded as the second greatest contemporary poet of Azerbaijan, after Samed Vurgun.
Mirza Fatali Akhundov
Mirza Fatali Akhundov, also known as Mirza Fatali Akhundzade or Mirza Fath-Ali Akhundzadeh, was a celebrated Iranian Azerbaijani author, playwright, ultra-nationalist, philosopher, and founder of Azerbaijani modern literary criticism, "who acquired fame primarily as the writer of European-inspired plays in the Azeri Turkic language". Akhundzade singlehandedly opened a new stage of development of Azerbaijani literature. He was also the founder of materialism and atheism movement in the Republic of Azerbaijan and one of forerunners of modern Iranian nationalism. He wrote in Azerbaijani, Persian and Russian.

Fatali Khan Khoyski
Fatali kan İsgandar oglu Khoyski o Fatali kan Khoyski fue un político azerbaiyano, diputado de la segunda Duma Estatal del Imperio de Rusia, comisario de educación popular dependiente del Comisariado Transcaucásico (1917-1918) y ministro de Justicia de la República Democrática Federal de Transcaucasia (1918). Fue nombrado primer ministro y ministro del Interior (1918-1919) tras la promulgación de la República Democrática de Azerbaiyán (RDA), asimismo, trabajó desempeñando los cargos de ministro militar, de justicia (1918) y de asuntos exteriores de la RDA.
