Om Yun-Chol
Om Yun-Chol es un halterófilo norcoreano, que compite en la prueba de 56 kg de peso. Ganó la medalla de oro en los Juegos Olímpicos de Londres 2012. Se convirtió en el 5° hombre en el mundo en poder levantar tres veces su propio peso corporal. También es el cuarto hombre en poder levantar más de 3 veces el peso, luego de romper el récord mundial de 169 kg en la categoría -56 kg de peso durante los Campeonatos de Asia Interclub.
George M. McCune
George McAfee "Mac" McCune was an American scholar of Korea who developed, with Edwin O. Reischauer, the McCune–Reischauer romanization of Korean. He taught Korean history and language at Occidental College and the University of California, Berkeley.
Han Myeong-sook
Han Myeong-sook was the Prime Minister of South Korea from April 2006 to March 2007. She is South Korea's first female prime minister. She was from the United New Democratic Party (UNDP) as a member of the Korean National Assembly (representative) for Ilsan-gab, and is a graduate of Ewha Womans University in Seoul with a degree in French literature. She resigned as Prime Minister on March 7, 2007 and declared her presidential candidacy. But she did not succeed in the nominations. In 2008 she ran for parliament, but was not elected. However, in January 2012 she was elected leader of the main oppositional Democratic United Party (DUP) before the April legislative elections and became a member of parliament. But the liberals did not manage to defeat the ruling Saenuri Party and Han stepped down as party leader in April 2012. In August 2015, Han was convicted of receiving illegal donations and sentenced to two years in prison. Han has maintained her innocence and further corroboration has indicated that she was not guilty of the alleged offense. In 2021, she was granted special amnesty by the government and her constitutional rights were restored.
Ahn Eak-tai
Ahn Eak-tai was a South Korean classical composer and conductor. He conducted numerous major orchestras across Europe, including the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Rome Philharmonic Orchestra. Ahn composed "Aegukga", a song best known as the national anthem of South Korea, Korean Dance, Nongae, and the Symphonic Fantasy Korea. His unpublished works, some of which have been discovered recently, include Poema Synfonic ‘Mallorca, Lo Pi Formentor, and The Death of Emperor Gojong.
