Jia Zhangke
Jia Zhangke es un director de cine chino. Nació en 1970 en Fanyang, en la provincia de Shanxi, China. Se licenció en la Academia de Cine de Pekín y realizó su primera película, Xiao Wu, en 1998. Actualmente vive en Pekín y participa activamente en el desarrollo del cine independiente en China.
Wu Weihua
Wu Weihua es un político y científico chino, biólogo molecular especializado en fisiología de células vegetales. Es profesor de la Universidad Agrícola de China y académico de la Academia de Ciencias de China. Como político es presidente del Comité Central de la Sociedad Jiusan un partido político chino que es compuesto mayoritariamente por académicos de alto nivel nacional e internacional. Es también es Vicepresidente del Comité Permanente de la Asamblea Popular Nacional de China durante el 12º y 13º congreso.
Yao Gang
Yao Gang is a Chinese executive who served as one of four Vice-Chairmen at the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), China’s top security regulator. He was investigated by the Communist Party of China's anti-graft agency in November 2015, after a stock market rout rocked global markets. Yao's downfall marked the widened government crackdown on corruption in the financial industry. Zhang Yujun (张育军), former assistant chairman of the CSRC, was placed under investigation in the end of 2015.
Liu Hulan
Liu Hulan was a young female spy during the Chinese Civil War between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party. She was born in Yunzhouxi village, in the Wenshui County of the Shanxi province. She joined the Communist Party in 1946 and soon after joined an association of women working in support of the Liberation Army. She was actively involved in organizing the villagers of Yunzhouxi in support of the Communist Party of China. Her contributions involved a wide range of activities, such as supplying food to the Eighth Liberation Army, relaying secret messages, and mending boots and uniforms.

Liang Yan is a Chinese volleyball player, who competed in the 1984 Summer Olympics.
Liang Bin
Liang Bin is a former Chinese politician from Shanxi province. He spent most of his career working in his home province, successively serving as the Party Secretary of the cities of Shuozhou and Xinzhou, before being transferred to Hebei province in June 2008 to head the party's provincial Organization Department. Liang was investigated by the Communist Party of China's anti-graft agency in November 2014.
