Sa'īd is held in the highest esteem by scholars of the Shi'a and Sunni Islamic tradition and was considered one of the leading jurists of the time. He also narrated several hadith from Ibn Abbas.

He also was the head of Reconciliation and Liberation Bloc, which held three seats in the Iraqi Council of Representatives from 2005–2010. Juburi is the publisher of the al-Itijah al-Akhar newspaper and the owner of the Syrian-based Arrai TV. He is a Sheikh of the Al-Jiburi tribe, which is powerful in Salahuddin Governorate. As of 2016, he is a senior member of a parliamentary committee investigating official corruption.

Muhammad Baqir al-Sadr fue un clérigo chiita y filósofo iraquí, fundador ideológico del Partido Islámico Dawa. También fue un exégeta coránico, historiador y escribió sobre política, filosofía y economía. Sus obras más importantes fueron Falsafatuna y Iqtisaduna. Es posible que escribiera otra gran obra llamada Mujtama’una. Aunque fueron simples rumores, si existiese ese tercer manuscrito, su redacción fue interrumpida por el papel relevante que jugó como portavoz del chiismo, en Irak sobre todo, estableciéndose como gran Ayatolá y por su trabajo de maestro en Najaf. Fue suegro del clérigo Muqtada al-Sadr, primo del ayatolá Muhammad Sadeq al-Sadr y del imán Musa al-Sadr. Su padre, Haydar al-Sadr, fue un respetado clérigo chiita de alto rango. Su apellido puede remontarse a Mahoma a través del séptimo imán chiita Musa al-Kazim. En 1980, Baqir al-Sadr murió asesinado por el régimen de Saddam Hussein.
