Arnab Goswami is an Indian news anchor, who is the managing director and editor-in-chief of Republic Media Network. Goswami's Republic Media Network presently owns and operates two channels namely Republic TV in English and Republic Bharat in Hindi.
Indrani Mukerjea
Indrani Mukerjea is an Indian born British former HR consultant and media executive. She was the wife of Peter Mukerjea, a retired Indian television executive. In 2007 she co-founded INX Media with her ex-husband, where she took on the role of CEO. In 2009 she resigned from the company and later sold her stake in it. In August 2015, she was arrested by Mumbai Police and charged as the main accused in the alleged murder of her daughter, Sheena Bora.
Sheena Bora
Sheena Bora, an executive working for Mumbai Metro One based in Mumbai, went missing on 24 April 2012. In August 2015 Mumbai Police arrested her mother Indrani Mukerjea, her stepfather Sanjeev Khanna, and her mother's driver, Shyamvar Pinturam Rai, for allegedly abducting and killing her and subsequently burning her corpse. Khanna and Rai confessed to the crime, and Mukerjea has said that Sheena Bora is living in the United States.

Riyan Parag is an Indian cricketer. He made his Twenty20 debut for Assam in the 2016–17 Inter State Twenty-20 Tournament on 29 January 2017. In October 2017 he was named in India's squad for the 2017 ACC Under-19 Asia Cup. He made his first-class debut for Assam in the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy on 17 November 2017.

Dipankar Bhattacharjee, born 1 February 1972, is a Badminton player from Assam, India. He represented India at many International tournaments including Barcelona and Atlanta Olympics. He was the Indian National Badminton Champion thrice and a runner-up twice. At Barcelona Olympics, he reached the pre-quarters.

Reema Kagti is an Indian film director and screenwriter, who works in Bollywood. She made her debut as director with critically acclaimed Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd. (2007), which was followed by the neo-noir, Talaash (2012) and the historical sports drama Gold . She has collaborated with Zoya Akhtar as a writer on several productions of Excel Entertainment.
Ashmita Chaliha
Ashmita Chaliha is an Indian badminton player. Born and brought up in Guwahati, she began playing badminton at the age of seven, and trained at the Assam Badminton Academy under Indonesian coach Edwin Iriawan and India’s Suranjan Bhobora, she was also coached by Pullela Gopichand for the asian games. Chaliha was part of the national junior team that competed at the 2017 World and Asian Junior Championships. She has been selected to be part of the Indian team for the 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia. Chaliha won her first senior international title at the 2018 Dubai International Challenge in the women's singles event. She was the gold medalists at the 2019 South Asian Games in the women's singles and team events.

Sir Syed Muhammad Saadulla, KCIE was the Prime Minister of Assam in British India. He was also the chairman of Gauhati Municipality in 1919 and Minister-in-Charge of Education and Agriculture for Assam from 1924 to 1934.
