Lai Xiaomin
Lai Xiaomin fue un ejecutivo de negocios chino y economista senior que se desempeñó como secretario del partido y presidente del directorio de China Huarong Asset Management desde septiembre de 2012 hasta abril de 2018. Fue investigado por corrupción el 17 de abril de 2018. El 5 de enero de 2021, Lai fue condenado a muerte sin indulto por soborno, malversación de fondos y bigamia. También se incautaron sus bienes privados. La sentencia se ejecutó el 29 de enero de 2021.
Yi Guan
Guan Yi is a Chinese virologist. In 2014, he was ranked as 11th in the world by Thomson Reuters among global researchers in the field of microbiology. He obtained his PhD in microbiology at the University of Hong Kong and is now a professor of microbiology at his alma mater. His research on the viral respiratory disease SARS helped the Chinese government avert the 2004 outbreak of this disease. He is the current Director of the State Key Laboratory for Emerging Infectious Diseases University of Hong Kong. In early 2017, Guan warned that the H7N9 influenza virus "poses the greatest threat to humanity than any other in the past 100 years."
Guo Shengkun
Guo Shengkun is a Chinese politician and business executive who currently serves as a Politburo member, a Central Secretariat secretary, and Secretary of the Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission of the Communist Party of China. Previously Guo served as Minister of Public Security, State Councilor, Communist Party Chief of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and General Manager of Aluminum Corporation of China, a major state-owned enterprise.
Qiu Huizuo
Qiu Huizuo was a lieutenant general of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA), best known as one of the "four guardian warriors" of Vice Chairman Lin Biao during the Cultural Revolution. Qiu rose through the ranks of the PLA during the civil war between the Communists and the Kuomintang. He took charge as the PLA logistics chief in 1959, and was persecuted at the beginning of the Cultural Revolution. He was later rehabilitated owing to the blessing of Zhou Enlai and Lin Biao, and elevated to the Politburo in 1969. In return, he helped to persecute Lin's enemies and consolidate Lin's power in the PLA. After Lin's flight and death in 1971, Qiu was purged and sentenced to 16 years in prison.

Wang Xiaodong is a Chinese politician and current Deputy Party Committee Secretary and Governor of Hubei province. Originally from Jiangxi province, Wang spent his early career in his home province and in Guizhou. He was transferred to Hubei in 2011.
Taylor Wang
Taylor Gun-Jin Wang is a Chinese American scientist and in 1985, became the first Chinese person to go into space. While an employee of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Wang was a payload specialist on the Space Shuttle Challenger mission STS-51-B.
