Semih Sancar was Chief of the General Staff of Turkey from 1973 to 1978, a period including the 1974 Turkish occupation of Cyprus. He was previously Commander of the Turkish Land Forces (1972–1973) and General Commander of the Gendarmerie of Turkey (1969–1970).

Erdal Erzincan is a Turkish folk music musician, composer, and singer. In 1981, he moved to Istanbul and studied bağlama at the Arif Sağ music school in 1985. Since 1989, he has been studying music at Istanbul Technical University. He has conducted research on the selpe method, which is a method for playing bağlama without a plectrum, similar to the tapping method on guitar.

Celalettin Arif (1875–1928) was an Ottoman-born Turkish lawyer, politician, government minister and diplomat.

Mehmed Saíd Bajá, también conocido como Küçük Saíd Bajá, Şapur Çelebi y en su juventud como Mabeyn Başkatibi Saíd Bey, fue un monárquico otomano, senador, estadista y editor del diario turco Jerid-i-Havadis. Apoyó al Comité de Unión y Progreso (CUP), el partido político que alcanzó el poder tras el golpe de Estado de 1913.

Mehmet Şener Eruygur is a former Turkish general. He was General Commander of the Gendarmerie of Turkey from 2002 to 2004, and was later head of the Atatürk Thought Association. Eruygur was one of those charged in the Ergenekon trials with being involved with the Sarıkız, Ayışığı, Yakamoz and Eldiven 2004 coup plans; in August 2013 he was sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment.

Sadullah Pasha was an Ottoman statesman in the late Tanzimat period. He is most notable as the Ottoman ambassador to Berlin following the aftermath of the Russo-Turkish War of 1877–78.

Heraclio el Viejo fue un general bizantino, padre del emperador bizantino homónimo (610-641). Quizá tuvo ascendencia armenia. Se distinguió en la guerra contra los persas sasánidas en la década de 580. Sirvió en calidad de lugarteniente (hypostrategos) de Filípico en la batalla de Solacón y posiblemente bajo Comenciolo en la de Sisarbano. Aparece mencionado como magister militum de Armenia en torno al 595, en tiempos del emperador Mauricio (582-602), despachado para sofocar la rebelión acaudillada por Samuel Vahewuni y Atat Jorjoruni. Fue nombrado exarca de África hacia el años 600 y, en 608, se rebeló junto con su hijo contra el usurpador Focas (602-610). Heraclio hijo empleó África del Norte como base para derrocar a Focas y fundar la dinastía heráclida, que reinó en Bizancio durante un siglo. Heraclio el Viejo murió poco después de recibir la noticia del advenimiento de su hijo al trono bizantino.
