Mohammad Riad Hussain Ismat 'Riad' Ismat ; fue un escritor, diplomático, profesor, crítico literario, y director de teatro sirio. Sirvió como Ministro de Cultura de Siria desde el 3 de octubre de 2010 al 23 de junio de 2012.
Abd al-Rahman Shahbandar
Abd al-Rahman Shahbandar was a prominent Syrian nationalist during the French Mandate of Syria and a leading opponent of compromise with French authority. His devotion to Arab nationalism dated to the days of the Committee of Union and Progress and its "Turkification" policies. He supported the Arab Revolt during World War I and briefly headed the foreign ministry under Emir Faisal.

She has made and contributed to many television and radio programmes for the BBC, on subjects such as literature, music, minority rights, Islamic culture, food, feminism, women’s rights, painting, and British politics. She has spoken out against islamophobia, defining its historic roots in colonialism.
Michel Aflaq

Jamil Mardam Bey, was a Syrian politician. He was born in Damascus to a prominent aristocratic Sunni Ottoman Muslim family. He is a descendant of the Ottoman general, statesman and Grand Vizier Lala Mustafa Pasha. He studied at the school of Political Science in Paris and was a founder of Al-Fatat, the leading opposition party in Ottoman Syria.

Nihad Qalei
Nihad Qali fue un actor, comediante, dramaturgo y escritor sirio que apareció con los inicios de la televisión Siria, trabajando además en cine y teatro. Poseedor de varias películas, obras teatrales y series junto con Duraid Lahham quien fuera su pareja artística por varios años interpretando el papel de “Hosni Al Bordan”. Como escritor fue autor de varias exitosas series televisivas de la época, las que se destacan: "Sah Al Noum" - "Hammam El Hana" - "Maqlub Ghawwar" – “Mugamarat Carlo - Las aventuras de Carlo” y varias obras teatrales. A causa de una hemiplejía debió alejarse de los escenarios ya que físicamente le era imposible seguir actuando pero esto no le impidió seguir escribiendo hasta el final de sus días.
