Traian Băsescu
Traian Băsescu es un político rumano. Fue alcalde de Bucarest desde junio de 2000 hasta diciembre de 2004, cuando dimitió para adoptar el cargo de presidente de Rumania el 20 de diciembre de 2004. Después de ganar las elecciones presidenciales de 2004, ganó un segundo mandato en las elecciones de diciembre de 2009. El 6 de julio de 2012 fue suspendido de sus funciones por el Parlamento rumano hasta que se celebre un referéndum, el 29 de julio, donde serán los ciudadanos quienes decidan destituirlo o no. La propuesta de destitución fue presentada por el primer ministro Victor Ponta, de la coalición de centro izquierda Unión Social Liberal (USL), que ha acusado a Basescu de abuso de poder, de violar la Constitución y de usurpar el papel de primer ministro y de sus atribuciones, así como despreciar su papel constitucional de mediador entre instituciones. El 27 de agosto, Traian Basescu redeviene Presidente de Rumania.

Ramona Nicole Mănescu is a Romanian politician and lawyer. From 24 July 2019 to 4 November 2019, she served as minister of Foreign Affairs in the Romanian Government. She was a Member of the European Parliament serving 2007 to 2013 and 2014 to 2019 from the National Liberal Party, active within the European People's Party. As part of this group she is a member of the European Parliament Committee on Foreign Affairs, vice-chair in the Delegation for relations with the Mashreq countries and a substitute member in the Committee on transport and tourism and in Delegation for relations with the Arab Peninsula.

A member of the Democratic Liberal Party (PD-L), she was a member of the Romanian Chamber of Deputies for Bucharest from 2000 to 2008 and has sat in the Romanian Senate, also for Bucharest, since 2008. In the Mugur Isărescu cabinet, she served as Minister of Transport in 2000; in the Călin Popescu-Tăriceanu cabinet, she was Minister of European Integration from 2005 to 2007; and in the Emil Boc cabinet, she was again Transport Minister from 2010 to 2012.
