Osmán I fue el líder de los osmanlíes u otomanos, la dinastía que estableció y gobernó el Imperio otomano. Era hijo de Ertuğrul y le sucedió en 1281. Osmán aprovechó la debilidad de los imperios selyúcida y bizantino para establecer y fortalecer su emirato.

Orhan u Orkhan, bey (príncipe) del recién nacido Imperio otomano, conocido entonces como la tribu de los osmanlíes, entre 1326 y 1359. Era hijo del bey Osmán I Gazi, fundador de dicho imperio, y de la princesa turcomana Malhun Hatun, hija de Ömer Bey, del clan Kayı, al cual pertenecían también los osmanlíes. A su muerte, el Imperio tenía una extensión de 95.000 km².

Veli Küçük is a retired Turkish brigadier-general. He is thought to be the founder of the JİTEM intelligence arm of the Turkish Gendarmerie, and is accused by the Turkish government of being the head of the Ergenekon organization, based on testimony by Tuncay Güney. He was arrested in January 2008, and on 5 August 2013, sentenced to two consecutive life sentences.

Lale Karabıyık is a Turkish scholar and politician. She is currently a member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey for the Republican People's Party representing Bursa. She previously served as a professor of accounting and finance at the Uludağ University.
